News from Andover
Fall 2017 | Email newsletter template redesigned
With the Phillips Academy website redesign launching in the fall of 2017, the News from Andover newsletter template needed a redesign. The redesign interpreted the brand redesign of the Phillips Academy website into the email template.
I worked with Neil Evans, associate director of communications at Andover, to define the content modules needed in the redesigned template. I used the new Andover brand colors, font styles, spacing, and layout style to reinterpret the look and feel of the News from Andover newsletter.
The Details
As a designer and coder with perfectionistic tendencies, I enjoy the details. This template is one template within my email template system used to create all email templates for Phillips Academy. The template system is in its second generation, which utilizes a Gulp process with HTML, CSS, and Nunjucks. This newsletter template has been coded responsively to render on all devices, regardless of screen size. The template has Gmail support, as well as support for most email clients in use today. The template has been rigorously Litmus tested to support most email clients to Phillips Academy standards.
